Success: Why Do Some People Get Anxious When Their Life Is Going Well?
If someone has spent a lot of time and effort building up their own life, it can be hard for them to understand why they would feel uncomfortable now that their life is going in the right direction. Yet, even if only one area of their life is going as they would like it to go, they could still be confused.
It is then going to be as if one has asked for something and, now that they have got it, they are not happy. Still, this doesn't mean that they are not pleased with how their life is going; what it comes down to is that part of them is not going to be on board with what is taking place.
Inner Shift
If they didn't feel uncomfortable, it would be possible for them to appreciate the direction that their life is taking. Taking this into account, something will need to change inside them in order for them to feel more at peace and to embrace what they have achieved.
Ultimately, what they are experiencing is not normal - it shows that something isn't right. Nonetheless, before one was able to take a step back and to reflect on what is taking place, they might have been sucked into how they felt.
A Few Areas
If their whole life is going in the right direction, it could mean that their career is going well, they have a number of close friends, they are in an intimate relationship and they are in good shape, for instance. A number of years ago, their life may have been radically different.
Based on how they feel, it could be said that the discomforted that they are experiencing is completely irrational. The same could also be said if one area of their life is going well and they feel uncomfortable.
External Feedback
If one was to share what is taking place for them with a friend or a family member, they could be told that they just need to relax and to embrace what they have achieved. In their eyes, it is not going to do one any good to get caught up in the discomfort that is inside them.
After hearing this, one may find that they are able to settle down and to enjoy their life again. Then again, one may find that hearing this doesn't help them, and it might even make them feel even worse.
More Pressure
If they do feel worse, it could be because they might now feel as though they are getting worked up for no reason. One could believe that if only they were stronger, there would be no need for them to feel so edgy.
Blaming themselves for what is taking place is clearly not going to serve them; they are under enough stress as it is. What one will need to remember is that this is a fairly new experience for them, so it might take a while for them to get to the bottom of what is going on.
Tuning In
If one was to connect to what is taking place inside them, they may find that there is a fair amount of anxiety and fear. Therefore, although their life is going well (or one part of it is), it will seem as though something bad is about to happen.
It then won't matter how well their life is going as their inner world will be telling them that it is all about to come to an end. If they are able to stop themselves from getting pulled into this, they could wonder why they feel this way.
Another Part
In addition to this, they could also find that part of them doesn't believe that they deserve to experience life in this way. So if everything that they have achieved was taken away, it would feel right to this part of them.
What could become clear at this point is that not every part of their being is on the same page. Part of them wants to achieve their goals and to experience joy, while another part of them isn't interested in achieving anything and wants to be unhappy.
A Closer Look
There may have been a time in their adult life when something was taken away for them, setting them up believe that the same thing would happen in the future. At the same time, what they are currently going through could be the result of what occurred during their early years.
For example, they may have grown up in a very unpredictable environment, due to one caregiver being emotionally unstable. At one point, everything might have been fine and, at another, it could have been complete anarchy
One Experience
Conversely, this stage of their life may have been going well, only for it to change suddenly. Perhaps their caregivers broke up or one had to move into a completely different area.
Whatever took place, it would have set them up to believe that good things don't last, and what took place would have been taken to heart. In other words, one would have believed that the reason their life changed was due to the fact that there was something wrong with them.
Awareness
At this age they would have been ego centric, and this was why they would have taken it personally. In reality, what took place had nothing do to with them or reflect their value as a person.
If one can relate to this, and they want to change their life, they may need to reach out for external support. This is something that can be provided by the assistance of a therapist or a healer.

Change Your Life In Minutes
Often, I hear people talk about how busy they are and that often they feel overwhelmed. Their lives are disorganized, their vehicles need attention and their relationships are strained.
Rather than piling things up and then feeling like everything is just too large to resolve, try doing things a little bit at a time. Your life can be so much better if you just think about what can be accomplished in five minutes or less.
Following are things that take five minutes or less to do but will give you much pleasure.
- Manage the dishwasher - It is much easier to make dirty dishes disappear immediately after a meal than waiting until hours later. Better yet, try having an empty dishwasher before meal preparation so that you can be loading it with cooking utensils as you go.
- Write a short note to someone who you care about. One or two sentences may bring a smile to that person's face.
- Play your favourite song and dance!
- Write a grocery list (on your phone or on paper).
- Water your plants as you take in their aroma and beauty.
- Bag, tie and take out the garbage.
- Pray.
- Move the meat for your next meal from the freezer to the fridge.
- Choose an outfit and accessories for your next appearance.
- Open a junk drawer and pull out ten things you don't need or want.
- Read as many pages as possible in your favourite book (within the five-minute timeline).
- Sit in a chair with eyes closed and breathe deeply with a goal of feeling totally relaxed.
- Throw a load of laundry into the washer.
- Delete unnecessary emails from your inbox.
- Clean one mirror in your house.
- Feed the pets.
- Phone your mother (remember to start the conversation by saying "I only have five minutes")
- Remove everything from the seats in your vehicle.
- Think about the next upcoming birthday in the family and how you will celebrate.
- Exercise.
- Plan one charity you can help this year (donations, volunteering, encouraging).
- Journal.
- Knit, crochet or focus on a hobby (remember, only five minutes!)
- Brush and floss.
- Flip through a magazine.
- Enjoy a piece of fresh fruit.
- Watch a Marie Kondo video on how to fold clothes (amazing!)
- Play a game of solitaire.
- Book an appointment for a massage.
- List other things that you can do in five minutes or less.
Don't wait until things have piled up around you! Begin using five-minute segments in which you can organize your environment, plan your time and feed your soul.

Being Successful In Life Today With A Millionaire's Mindset Means Reprogramming The Subconscious
Are you on the right track to achieve success? Stop for a while, take a look at the map, see the directions, consult somebody or look for assistance.
After that start your journey towards the ways to be successful with full self-confidence.
I mean do so without the tiniest doubt of being derailed.
Their tracks are entirely different from each other leading to various destinations; the location of success and the location of failure.
Either one can learn the best ways to be successful or take an incorrect track doom and gloom, but the best secret to achieve success is to keep oneself on the ideal path.
A very sharp, clear and bright picture of where you are heading is great motivation for an enthusiastic individual to remain vigilant and keep himself focused on the right path versus all odds and obstacles.
It's true that absolutely nothing can be achieved without effort, however, effort alone can not guarantee you to achieve success.
The world is full of poorly paid unskilled workers who are working hard, but not getting enough benefit.
Striving without planning is similar to taking an elevator from the middle of a multi-story structure without knowing which floor you really need to get off at.
It can take you to the leading floor or ground you in the basement.
The majority of people are not able to set goals and objectives simply due to the fact that they have no future vision, no huge dreams and no specific success strategies.
These poor, miserable people have no choice, but to follow the crowd aimlessly.
The unfortunate part of the story is that the crowd is growing larger day-by-hopeless-day without having anyone to lead them to the ideal path to achieve success.
Enjoying the Success Process
Previously I discussed how many were having fun, for example, trading penny stocks and that as a hobby were finding success.
When we can put some enjoyment into what we're chasing after being successful seems to be a result.
Due to the fact that many can not commit themselves fully to the job they are appointed to, these directionless people are lost and don't know for sure what they want.
No surprise, these people are frequently fired by their companies, remain mostly unemployed, survive on social welfare and other public assistance and charities, broke in the end and ultimately buried under heavy debt.
One must distinguish between right-minded and wrong-minded; either achieve success or settle for failure.
The Course in Miracles states, "You are the mirror of truth, in which God Himself shines in perfect light. To the ego's dark glass you say but need, 'I will not look there because I know these images are not true'."
Bringing Passion and Purpose to the Scene
Because we are not allowing the light of our passion and purpose to be in charge, far too often we as humans are filled with uncertainty of the dark.
You just need to keep inspired and keep on moving to the destination you set for yourself when you are on the path of certainty.
The desperate and dark travels through life many take are entirely different from each other leading to different destinations; to achieve success or the destination of mediocrity.
Either one can be on the ideal track to achieve success, or on the path where wealth creation is never accepted into the mind.
The millionaire secrets will help to keep you OFF the wrong-minded track, where you can never find ways to be successful in life, no matter how much effort one puts in.
Effort needs to be invested in keeping yourself inspired and continually reprogramming the subconscious when you are on the right-minded track with a millionaire mindset.

Take Ownership of Your Health: Hold Yourself Accountable
Over the years, I've conducted extensive research on health topics such as obesity, osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. I have also studied theories of behavior change. What jumps out at me the most is how many of these conditions are preventable. Yes, there are non-modifiable factors however, it is our behaviors that are causing damage to our health and wellness. Essentially, we are all aware of our unhealthy behaviors and the consequences associated with them. I feel like I'm a misfit in society because I actually enjoy physical activity, going to the gym and pushing my body to its limits. I was also criticised heavily because it took me nearly two weeks to finishing watching the third season of Stranger Things. Let that sink in. We live in a society where it is the norm to watch an entire season of a television series over a weekend, let alone one day and this is completely acceptable, even encouraged. I feel like I have to justify why I don't binge watch television, why I wake up early to exercise and why I restrict processed foods (among many other ingredients) from my diet.
My reason is simple, I do it for my health. Health is a priority to me and I want to face the daily challenges of life with the least amount of pain, discomfort and illness as possible. I'm not a machine, I get sick on occasion and I have a history of injuries. I watch television and movies and I'm known to indulge in a meal or snack of the unhealthy variety on occasion. I try to keep my immune system optimal and reduce my risk of injury through strength and flexibility training. Let's examine exercise. Most of us know that it is beneficial to our health, not just physically but emotionally as well. Increased levels of physical activity have the potential to lower the risk of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease (among many more) according to multiple sources. We know that being inactive increases the risk of the mentioned conditions, yet many of us choose to do nothing about it. There is a disconnect between what we know and what we do. Do we not prioritize our health and quality of life? Do we get distracted with the ease of technology and everything available at the touch of a button? Do we know how many deaths can be prevented each year by modifying our behaviors?
So much of what we experience is preventable if we take the necessary precautions. We don't have to wait until we get diagnosed to make a change. We can make changes so that we don't get diagnosed. We do have the time if we make it a priority. We can find a plethora of excuses why we don't exercises of we can focus on reasons why we should. I can honestly say that I am 100% responsible for all of the injuries I've sustained in my lifetime. Whether it was negligence, ignorance or ego, I was at fault and I take full ownership of that. Now let's take ownership of our health and strive for progression.

Tired? Depleted? Step One to Raise Your Vibration and Increase Your Energy!
Is it possible to cultivate your state of being so that no matter what happens, you feel safe, peaceful, compassionate, energized, and empowered? What I am talking about is not that you don't feel the whole spectrum of human feelings. Rather, it's how you relate to them. Is it possible to relate to all moments from a baseline of inner freedom, empowered energy, and elevated consciousness?
In this article, we'll explore the first step:
Increase Your Overall Charge or Energetic Power
The first step to raising your baseline vibration is to increase the overall energy you have. In Qigong Meditation the teaching is simple: gather more energy than you expend. When you look at this, it really is common sense. If you are expending as much energy as you have, you deplete yourself. You have nothing left over. The mere thought of doing one thing more, such as taking 10 minutes to improve your state of being is just too much. You're already at the edge of being overloaded, overwhelmed, and exhausted.
Therefore, if you want to cultivate an elevated state of being, it's absolutely essential that you manage your time and effort so you have a surplus of energy. This surplus is what you will use to grow new possibilities. Without this surplus of energy, you will always be just trying to get by, just trying to get everything done, and just trying to survive. Nothing will change.
So, how can you create an energy surplus?
Again, it's really common sense. It involves things most of us know. Yet, often, we're not doing them. The demands of the world compel us to give all our energy to work, tasks, and care for others. They push us to go against what we know is best for ourselves. The irony is that unless we take time to cultivate our own energy, we are less and less effective and useful to others and to the world.
In light of this predicament, gathering a surplus of energy will only happen when we commit to taking one or more small steps each day. These little steps accumulate into large gains as we do them consistently.
Here are some simple ways to build your energetic charge. Perhaps you can choose one or more that feel doable to you right now:
1. Go to bed 30-40 minutes earlier. Even an extra 30 minutes of sleep each night accumulates into a big energy gain over time.
2. Wake up 10 minutes earlier and center yourself using prayer, affirmations, or meditation. How do you feel when you wake up in the morning? No matter how you feel, you'll feel much better if you take the first few minutes upon waking to center your mind.
What if, as you lie in bed, you think of what you are grateful for in your life? This instantly puts you in a better mood. What if you spent a few minutes expressing your thanks in prayer?
What if you take a few minutes to calm yourself by attending to the sensations of breathing? What if you find a place within you that is peaceful by focusing on silence, stillness, and the feeling of spaciousness inside your body? Each of these cues can take the edge off anxiety and connect you to a deeper awareness that is free from tension, worry, and fear.
What if you affirm the deeper qualities you would like to live from such as peace, joy, compassion, and empowerment using simple, positive, present-tense statements such as "I am peaceful. I am joyful. I am compassionate toward myself and others. I am guided and empowered to do what I am here to do today."
Doing any one or all of these first thing in the morning will center your mind and give you a positive reference point to start your day on the right foot as well as a place to return to whenever you need.
3. Set a cellphone reminder to mindfully pause what you are doing. In this moment, pay attention to your breathing, and check in with how you feel and how others around you feel. As a suggestion, you might do this once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening.
When your reminder goes off, compassionately notice how you are feeling at this moment. Then, take three conscious breaths, paying attention to the sensations of breathing inside your body. Imagine your whole body fills up as you inhale and your whole body empties out as you exhale. Consciously release any thoughts, feelings, and tensions in your breath as you exhale. Then, take note of how others are feeling around you. Extend compassionate awareness toward others.
4. Consider everything you eat and drink in terms of if it is adding to your energy and supporting your health and well-being. Rather than mindlessly gulping, pay attention to everything you consume. Notice how it tastes and how it makes you feel. Notice if you are eating and drinking for nutrition or to counteract something you are feeling. See if you can do this with the mind of a curious observer, to the best of your ability without judgement.
At least once a day, interrupt a habitual unhealthy choice and choose something healthier instead. As a guideline, consider foods and beverages that are fresh, organic, moderate in size, and as close to their natural state as possible.
5. Consider everything you read, watch, or interact with in terms of if it is adding to your energy and supporting your health and well-being. Pay attention to how you feel as consume this information. Notice what state of mind and emotion they put you into. Notice if you are taking in this information for learning and well-being or if it is to counteract something you are feeling.
At least once a day, take a few minutes to read, watch, or interact with information that supports your mental-emotional-spiritual health and well-being.
6. Stand up and move your body once an hour. Exercise for 10 minutes or more every day. Your body is made to move. Just standing up makes a difference. Even a 10-minute walk improves your health and energy. When you move, you circulate blood, which brings energy as oxygen to your cells. You improve digestion, which helps you absorb nutrients. And, you move lymph fluid, which clears toxins from your cells. These are just a few of the benefits of exercise that raise your energy level. So, move in ways you enjoy daily.
As you commit to any one of the above, you'll find your energy level increases. You will be on a path of managing and cultivating your vital energy, rather than overextending and exhausting yourself. With small repeated efforts each day, you will begin to grow your energetic charge.

Wholeness Is An Inside Job
I am a huge believer in mind-body healing. After all we are each a spirit, who has a soul (mind, will, emotions) and we live in a physical body. Having all aspect of your being in alignment is really the only way to true wholeness. You can't just focus on the physical and ignore spirit and soul and think you will be truly healthy. It just isn't possible. We are integrated beings.
Often we jump from one 'health' product to another all the while, still feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, confused, and full of physical symptoms. Problem is we never really address the root issue. You can't just take a handful of supplements and think they will magically solve the problem any more than taking any medication is the total answer to healing.
Being well is just as much an inside job as it is an outside job. What you eat, how much, the quality of that food, is definitely important for health and for weight loss. I would never dispute that. However, what you believe about it and how you think about what you do informs your choices and impacts how your body responds.
If you believe making a certain change will result in healing or more energy or weight loss, you will be more consistent with it and it will do what you expect more often than not. That is the whole premise behind the placebo effect. People are given inert, sugar pills with absolutely no power to heal. They are, however, told that the pill will heal their problem and the power of their belief is what actually causes healing.
If our thoughts and beliefs are that powerful - and they are - shouldn't we be paying more attention to them? This is true in all aspects of health, including weight loss.
I have found that combining what you put on your plate, what you think about it and yourself, is the KEY to going from unhealthy to healthy, from burned out to balanced. While it is imperative that you properly nourish your body with high quality, one-ingredient foods and clean water, it is just as critical to nourish your spirit and soul! That is an aspect of Today is Still the Day that I believe is overlooked in many other plans. You can be slim and still be unhealthy! Changing your diet is only one part of the puzzle.
I think the bottom line is that we have to consider our ultimate goal. Sure you may want to lose 25 pounds and maybe for the sake of your heart or your knees, you desperately need to. It's important to realize that the excess weight is a symptom. In order to change that long-term, you have to find the root issue. That's why "diets" don't work - they are temporary and only address the symptom. Ultimately, you want to be a healthy, vibrant person who is able to live life with ease and joy.
That's what true health and wholeness is. In order to achieve that, you can't ignore your spirit and soul and just focus on dropping a certain number of pounds or fitting into a specific size jeans.
Health is more than the absence of illness and it is more than just being a certain size. So instead of just focusing on the diet or the scale, pay attention to the whole person and I would be willing to bet you will experience so much more success!

There's a Secret to Getting Yourself to Meditate
As a meditation teacher, I've heard countless students share their excuses for why they didn't meditate in the past week. They wanted to. They know it would be good for them. They just didn't do it. At least, not consistently.
Something always seems to get in the way: they need more sleep, the dog needs to be walked, the kids are up, they had to work late or had an early meeting, they felt too anxious, worried, or irritable... Meditation just didn't seem as important as other things they had to do. Yet, all those things they did didn't give them the peace of mind they desired.
Of course, meditation is about changing your relationship with all the events, worries, and anxieties in your life. It's a daily ritual-like eating, sleeping, and brushing your teeth-that creates a more relaxed, healthy, meaningful, and intentional way of living. It's a powerful practice to realize the deep peace of mind we all desire. So, what's the secret to moving from excuses to practice?
The answer is: you've got to have a strong "Why?"
Where do you find your Why?
The answer may surprise you.
The Secret is Body Awareness
Your body is not just a mechanical vehicle for carrying out all the activities in your life. It is a highly-sensitive bio-feedback system.
Your body can tell you what is good for you to eat and how much, when you need to rest, when you need to relax and have fun, when you need to get up and move, and when you need to be alone, have contact with others, be in nature, and spend time in meditation. It connects you to when, why, and how much to do anything. If you're paying attention.
In our context, it connects you to WHY you might want to meditate in the first place. At least it has the potential to do this-if you pay attention. Yet, how often do you pause and really pay attention to your body's signals? How often do you stop to sense what it is telling you?
Why aren't you doing this?
First off, we have a culture that encourages just the opposite. We are encouraged to focus outwardly rather than inwardly. We are encouraged to do as much as possible. We are encouraged to gather as many products and as much wealth, data, and sensory input from the external environment as we possibly can.
We are encouraged to react quickly and are discouraged from taking time for well-considered and deeply felt responses. We are conditioned to quick reactions and sound bites on news and social media. We are impatient with anything that takes time. We go, go, go, until we are too exhausted to continue.
Do you feel this exhaustion?
Yet, are you worried about what might happen if you stop? Are you worried you'll fall behind and be left out? At a certain point, you may decide you just don't want to live this way anymore. When you reach this point-or preferably long before that-take a moment to pay attention inside. Notice what all this thinking, doing, worry, accumulation, and stimulation is doing to you.
Is there another option?
Meditation Creates a New Way of Being
Meditation interrupts nonstop thinking and doing and gives your body a chance to relax deeply-something you may not even get to do in a restless sleep. Consciously relaxing, as you do in meditation, unwinds tension accumulated beneath your awareness in the past 24 hours as well as in the years of your life up to this point. It slowly dissolves the reactive mental-emotional patterns that drive you on the hamster wheel of nonstop activity. It quiets your mental chatter.
Now, when you first start to meditate, you may not notice this relaxing, quieting, and calming effect. You may become even more aware of how busy your mind is, how conflicting your emotions are, and how tense your body is. If you have mistreated your body through over-stress for a long period of time, initial moments of Body Awareness in meditation might not feel so great.
Or, you may feel little to nothing at all. All that thinking, doing, and pushing yourself to do things you feel you "have to" or "should" do may have cut you off from how you feel. You may have lost touch with your vital sensations and feelings. You may just feel bored without external stimulation keeping you distracted.
Yet, discomfort, boredom, or numbness, when you face them honestly, directly, gently, and without judgment, as you do in meditation, can alert you to just how much you need to activate another way of being.
If you heed this signal and take time to sit, breathe, and mindfully notice what's happening inside-the layers of stress will begin to unwind and your vital senses will reawaken. As you unwind, Body Awareness may tell you just how exhausted you are from the way you are going about your life.
As you pay close attention to what your body has to say, you might find that all those things you've been chasing after may not be as important as they seemed. You may discover you don't want to live on the human hamster wheel of incessant activity, worry, and anxiety any longer. You may be inspired to make new choices that reflect your soul's deeper desires.
Meditation beckons you to a more relaxed, healthy, meaningful, and intentional way of living-and your body will tell you just how important this is-if you pay attention.
